This summer, NC State University’s Creative Writing Program is offering a five-week, on-campus introductory course that is open to Triangle residents.
Explorations in Creative Writing (ENG 287) provides an introduction to the basic elements and principles of three genres of creative writing: poetry, fiction and drama. The course will include reading and class discussion of student work. It is recommended for students with no prior experience in creative writing.
Classes will meet on campus from 5:30-7:25 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from June 25 to July 27. The course instructor is Benjamin Murphy.
Members of the public who are not enrolled in an NC State degree program should register for this course as a Non-Degree Studies student. To register and view eligibility requirements, please visit the NC State Non-Degree Studies web page.
