Marsha Gordon gave two invited talks in March: “The Other Side of the Tracks: Nontheatrical Film History, Race, and the Case of Felicia (1965)” at the University of Pittsburgh on March 4 and “The Birth of Liz & Burton: Celebrity & Cleopatra” at Penn State University’s Center for American Literary Studies on March 5.
She also gave a talk on “War & Disgust: Sam Fuller’s The Steel Helmet and Stanley Kubrick’s Fear and Desire” at the Society for Cinema and Media Studies annual conference in Montreal, Canada.
She served as a juror for the NC Museum of History’s Longleaf Pine Film Festival, viewing over 20 hours of feature and short films.
