In late September, Susan Katz gave a presentation to the English Club on the importance of internships when starting a career.

On September 26, she presented her recent research project on internship programs in English Departments throughout the U.S. at the annual conference of the Council for Programs in Technical and Scientific Communication in Colorado Springs. She presented the same research as part of the English Department Speaker Series on October 7.

Also on October 7, Katz gave a presentation on the new edition of her book Start Your Career: 5 Steps to the Right Job after College to members of NCSU Rotoract.

On October 21, she met with members of AEGS to talk about internships for graduate students in English and provided tips on thinking about possible careers.
