On September 5, Katz was an invited speaker at the 2nd Annual Professional Development Expo hosted by the Poole College of Management. She provided students with suggestions to help them in the post-graduation job search and participated in a Networking Session. More than 300 students registered to attend the event.

She also gave a presentation based on the new edition of her book Start Your Career: 5 Steps to the Right Job after College to members of Alpha Omega Epsilon on September 8 and to Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) on September 16.
